    when they are paying for the studio, does that include you and your equipment or just the space?

      They usually rent the space and then bring in their own creativity, but most studios provide the basics of lighting

    Hi Walid! I have a question. I truly experienced this when I told a lady my rate for a headshot session. She did exactly what you said, trying to come down to 1/2 hour. However I'm conflicted, as my headshot sessions only take 30mins to an hour *advertised as an hour* for an individual. Am I unable to sell that as a package (just in an hour), or do I need to come up in the timeframe and add more to the experience? Sorry if I'm not fully grasping the concept! I Mightve gotten too used to cheapos near me for your same reason disclosed. Love your videos! ❤

      Just to give more detail, I would pose it as, "you get x amount of photos for $$ and 1hr in studio" as an example

    When I shoot for NBC, they get everything... However this is all discussed upfront and in the contract. I use this analogy, if I was the cameraman for the the movie titanic, do I get the raw footage? But hey everyone, this guy is legit, I agree with 99.5% of what he says and the other 0.5% is just difference clients and situations.

    Thanks, but your video is misleading, the title says that it is about Dazz camera and it is supposed to be shot on Dazz cam, but in fact your video was shot on phone without Dazz camera. only pictures from Dazz cam..

      @@Drumsdude123 Dazzcam has video also. I find that it's slightly less in quality. If You do wish to use it for video I would first film in the iPhone's native camera, and then import that into Dazzcam.

Also, I don't have a studio space, and I was wondering if the masterclass course combined with the Step course can help me develop an effective business strategy that can function and grow without the overhead of a studio space (for the time being).       I just want to say messages like this help us continue and keep building. I, like yourself, would love the channel to be bigger. I think because we focus heavily on the educational part - it doesn't always have favor with the instagram. But this exact comment helped my editor and I have a healthy conversation about new tactics to deliver the same type of images.

    If you don’t have the budget you can always get a M43 camera like an Olympus PL8 and a pancake 17 m… smaller and cheaper. Nice one Walid.

    When it comes to this effect, usually you want it to be very dreamy. Cheaper filters will be dreamier and often better value for money. You don't want sharp with these filters because that is not their point.

    i never owned a studio, but I've been a monthly renter and you video reminded me of why the studio owner did what he did at times Depending on the city and location, I never thought about havin to pay for parking as well!

    Walid, this video was very informative for me. I’ve been working on hard on a local level to get my name known as a portrait photographer and I’ve done that. I do want to move into the commercial side. I have a team I use for my clients, and I would like to know how do I even get my foot in the door? To get the decision makers to know I am here?

      I'm really glad it was helpful Greg! one way is to book a private session with me and we talk ONLY about your career. While it seems like an ad for my service, it's actually an ad for your future. But one thing I would 100% do and it's free... avoid channels where they put you down, make you feel like you have to watch video after video to juste get a nugget of info, or those that haven't done what you want done.

    As a commercial photographer and a former model I have concluded that a customer doesn't care about your gear. They care about the final results. So, rule #1 is to always use gear you are absolutely familiar with.

      Yessssssssss! But they sell this idea of Pro Foto, and so I fell for it. It's a wonderful lighting system though, just not my mastery. You're so right that the customer does not care at all!
